A Presentation and Discussion about Asylum Seekers in Modern Day Israel
Please join HIAS, Right Now: Advocates for African Asylum Seekers in Israel, New Israel Fund, and Rabbis for Human Rights-North America for a discussion about asylum seekers in Israel – who they are, how the Jewish state is responding, and how American Jewish communities can get involved. The event will feature a short documentary film, as well as remarks from experts Mark Hetfield, HIAS’ President and CEO (interim), and Maya Paley, co-founder of Right Now. Presentations will be followed by a Q&A session.
