Channukah is also known as the festival of lights and asks us to remember a time when light and hope were recovered against all odds. Today Israel faces many challenges, and it is often hard to see the light of hope when so much of the news is dark and bleak.

Yet we must remember the important work that is being done every day to protect Israel’s democracy and help fulfill its promise to be a light unto the nations. Each of us can play a significant role in keeping that flame alive.
