Women’s Rights To Pray at The Western Wall
With the arrest this past October of Anat Hoffman, in Jerusalem, the organization “Women of the Wall” (WoW) received widespread attention in the press.
A special Rosh Chodesh service, organized by Michele Sumka in sympathy with WoW, took place at Tifereth Israel in November, followed by a special Rosh Chodesh service at Adas Israel in December.
Several of the participants have since established the group Washington Women of the Wall, which intends to have Rosh Chodesh services every month in support of WoW.
